Position: Chef de Partie – Western Cuisine (Banquet Focus)

We are excited to invite a talented and passionate Demi/Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team! This position centers on Western cuisine with a special focus on banquet operations for a wide variety of events and celebrations.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Prepare and execute high-volume banquet service, ensuring each dish meets the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Apply Western culinary techniques to create visually appealing and delicious dishes.
  • Maintain smooth kitchen operations during busy banquet events.
  • Operate kitchen equipment effectively and follow maintenance practices.
  • Uphold strict hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP knowledge is a plus).
  • Manage portion control, inventory, and waste reduction to optimize food costs.
  • Collaborate with the banquet/event team and other departments to ensure seamless service.
  • Customize menus and dishes to align with specific event themes and guest preferences.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior kitchen staff to maintain an efficient and motivated team.
  • Open to Malaysia only
  • 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Western cuisine, particularly in banquets, catering services, or large-scale events.
  • Strong understanding of Western culinary techniques, plating, and food presentation.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills to handle multiple banquet functions efficiently.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure during high-demand banquet periods.
  • Awareness of portion control, inventory management, and waste reduction strategies.
  • Natural leadership abilities and a supportive team player mindset.
  • Effective communication with kitchen staff, banquet teams, and other departments.
  • Previous experience in hotels, golf clubs, or convention centers is an advantage.
