Key Responsibilities
- Oversee food preparation and ensure timely execution of menu items.
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to recipes and portion control.
- Ensure food preparation, taste, and presentation consistently meet the highest quality standards.
- Oversee the full spectrum of kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and smooth service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to the purchasing team.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and occupational health standards.
- Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting issues promptly.
- Support training and development of junior kitchen staff.
- Coordinate with service staff to meet customer expectations and handle any kitchen-related concerns.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years\' experience as a Cafe Chef/Hot Kitchen Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry
- Proven experience in a kitchen setting.
- Knowledge of standard food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Culinary certification or equivalent experience preferred.
