Job description
POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chef is fully responsible for managing and operating the clubhouse kitchen, ensuring the preparation of high-quality meals for members, guests, and events. This role covers menu planning, food preparation, kitchen management, and cost control, while maintaining hygiene and safety standards. The Chef will work independently, supported only by general workers during events for serving and dish-cleaning.

Plan and prepare menus according to event requirements, guest profiles, and available budget.

Independently handle all food preparation, cooking, and plating for clubhouse events and daily needs.

Manage food sourcing, purchasing, and inventory to ensure cost efficiency and minimal wastage.

Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of the kitchen and storage areas.

Ensure proper use and basic upkeep of kitchen equipment and tools.

Collaborate with clubhouse staff and general workers for smooth coordination during events.

Provide creative input on menu design and food presentation to enhance the clubhouse dining experience.

Support clubhouse well-being by assisting in simple upkeep related to kitchen and dining facilities.

Perform other duties as required by clubhouse management.

Requirements
  • Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or relevant culinary training.
  • Proven experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably in event-based catering, clubhouse, or restaurant environment.
  • Strong ability to prepare a variety of cuisines and tailor menus based on event needs.
  • Good knowledge of cost control, inventory management, and food safety standards.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and take full ownership of kitchen operations.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to deliver meals within event timelines.
  • Creative, proactive, and passionate about food preparation and presentation.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and during special events as required.
