Job summary

Knight Frank Group in Malaysia is seeking a skilled facilities engineer to operate, maintain and troubleshoot high- and low-voltage electrical systems across our properties. The role requires hands-on approach and ability to work on standby during emergencies.

You will ensure compliance with energy and safety standards, supervise contractors, monitor energy usage and contribute to uninterrupted operations for a leading real estate consultancy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in property, facility, or building maintenance.
• Valid Chargeman BO Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga is required.
• Good knowledge of HT/LV electrical systems and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot high- and low-voltage electrical systems, including switchboards, transformers, and generators.
• Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations and safety standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation of electrical systems.
• Supervise contractors and vendors during electrical works and shutdowns.
• Monitor energy usage and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Support the building management team in ensuring safe and uninterrupted operations.

About The Role

• Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) regulations and safety standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation of electrical systems.
• Supervise contractors and vendors during electrical works and shutdowns.
• Monitor energy usage and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Support the building management team in ensuring safe and uninterrupted operations.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Chargeman BO Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in property, facility, or building maintenance.
• Good knowledge of HT/LV electrical systems and safety procedures.
• Hands‑on, responsible, and able to work on standby or during emergencies.
