Job summary

UEM Edgenta Berhad in Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Technician responsible for the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of plant electrical facilities to meet safety and regulatory standards. The role involves monitoring installations, inspecting and testing electrical systems, and ensuring data accuracy for inventory records.

You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize power interruptions, repair equipment as needed, and liaise with clients and local authorities

Qualifications

• High School Certificate or equivalent.
• Certified Chargeman Grade A4 is required.
• 1–2 years hands-on experience in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical facilities.
• Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize power interruptions.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Monitor & administer on electrical installation in term of compliance to standard / act / regulation related to energy as well as tracking all related activities.
• Conduct inspection and testing for all electrical installation, panel and facilities as per regulatory requirement.
• Responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize power interruption and machinery/equipment breakdown and carry out repairing works if necessary.
• Liaise with client and local authority to ensure compliance for electrical installation.
• Ensure accuracy data recorded and filling system in place for all electrical installation inventory.
