Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Assisting BO Chargeman (for airports with HV) in responsibilities related to the overall electrical installation, including staffing, handling, and control. Responsible for the overall electrical installation (under BO Chargeman for airports with HV) in terms of work and job management by providing written instructions to personnel/workers under his supervision.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

1. Managing site operations of electrical equipment or systems according to specifications (LV System), with or without standby generators.
2. Performing repair and maintenance related to voltage electrical installations and testing; executing maintenance and determining necessary actions.
3. Planning tools and equipment needed for job execution and system rectification as per standards.
4. Responsible for the installation of equipment, machinery, wiring, or programs to meet specifications, and assisting technicians during inspections and repairs of underground cables.
5. Investigating and identifying essential information prior to making adjustments in relation to others' actions.
6. Understanding written instructions and documents related to work, and following or directing rules to organize tasks or actions in a specific order, including numbers, letters, words, pictures, procedures, and requisitions for electrical operations and maintenance.
7. Under certain conditions, applying competence control to other identified electrical personnel through clear written instructions and task assignments within his knowledge and responsibility.
8. Carrying out preventive maintenance inspections for AGL, HT, and LV systems.
9. Ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
10. Executing tests to verify equipment, software, or procedures are functioning as expected.
11. Proposing solutions to problems and participating in incident report preparations.

Skills

• Hands-on skills in maintenance and operation of electrical installations and airport facilities.
• Updated knowledge of the latest technology and airport facilities.
• Experience in operations and maintenance of High Tension (HT) and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
• Working knowledge of Electrical Safety Regulations and Electrical Supply Act 1990.

Relevant Industries

• Certificate with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.

Education

• Lower Pressure / Tension Certificate (L3/A4 category).
