Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  1. Manage Change and Release teams to ensure efficient & effective level of support.
  2. Provide support to ensure alignment with the various business strategic objectives & priorities in terms of scheduled deployments.
  3. Lead the effort of defining the IT strategic direction for change and release management tools for IT to ensure the process requirements are built in.
  4. Identify, improve, and implement change in processes, procedures, and practices to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in managing change and release.
  5. Be responsible for the delivery of effective change and release management.
  6. Ensure timely reporting, planning, managing risks/issues, and appropriate escalation in managing change requests for release.
  7. Manage vendor performance.
People Management
  1. Plan & manage resources to meet function needs.
  2. Plan & execute staff resource development & training plans and develop a pool of system experts to maintain & engage with business users.
Administration
  1. Monitor staff performance & conduct performance appraisals.
  2. Check monthly staff claims & approve staff leaves.
Jobholder Requirements
Education/Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience/Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing Change and Release management.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in project change, especially with bank systems and standard change management methodologies.
  • 8-10 years of experience in information systems operations, including systems analysis or development.
  • Sufficient knowledge of the technology landscape.
  • Strong leadership and management skills to oversee technical staff, assign tasks, oversee implementations, and manage budgets.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle is preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams toward task completion.
  • Effective leadership and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Certification/Licensing (Optional but Advantageous)
  • ITIL Foundation V3.
  • ITIL Intermediate in Service Transition.
  • ITIL Managing the Lifecycle & ITIL Expert.
