Job summary

OCBC Bank in Singapore seeks an Operational Excellence Change Lead to drive transformational improvements across the organization. You will analyse end-to-end processes, identify opportunities, and partner with stakeholders to design and implement future-ready solutions.

You will lead cross-functional projects, apply SIPOC and journey mapping, develop business cases, and enable sustainable process delivery through data-driven change management.

Qualifications

  • Degree holder in any discipline.
  • Knowledge or experience in process improvement and project management methodologies, such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Agile, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process improvement or change management within the service or finance industry; consultancy experience is a plus.
  • Experience in business process management, process mapping, and process design tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate complexity into practical improvement actions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and translate broad challenges into well-defined problem statements.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, with the confidence to collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management and delivery skills; adaptable in changing strategic contexts, self-driven, and able to independently lead or facilitate projects from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify operational excellence opportunities and develop plans to achieve group-wide targets, including business revenue impact, turnaround time reduction, process simplification, and improved service outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional, end-to-end process improvement projects that enhance customer experience, employee experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with business and project stakeholders to understand needs, shape solutions, and influence buy-in for change and transformation.
  • Apply structured process improvement methodologies and concepts, such as SIPOC, process mapping, and journey mapping, to facilitate problem solving and solution design.
  • Plan and facilitate project workshops and meetings to assess current-state processes and define target operating models.
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret business and operational data to identify root causes, key issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Assess the potential benefits, costs, and risks of proposed changes, and develop business cases that support informed decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
  • Design and implement new or improved processes, leveraging technology and data to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainable delivery.
  • Develop clear business requirements and work closely with IT and delivery partners to implement system enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials to support effective change adoption.
  • Monitor process performance and benefits realisation, track outcomes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support other ad-hoc operational excellence, change, or transformation tasks as required.

Operational Excellence Change Lead

As an Operational Excellence Change Lead, you will be at the heart of driving meaningful change and transformation, helping the bank stay ahead in a fast-moving and evolving banking landscape. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, influencing stakeholders, and delivering practical improvements that create measurable business, customer, and employee impact.
