The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for all financial aspects of the Group. This includes overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, corporate finance, investor relations, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. The CFO plays a key advisory role to the Board and Executive Management, driving financial discipline, growth, and shareholder value.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and guide the Finance and Accounting teams in delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports.
Ensure full enforcement and adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
Manage the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial estimates.
Provide financial guidance to all departments on financial planning, decision-making, and control.
Manage relationships with external parties including auditors, tax consultants, bankers, company secretary, legal advisors, and government agencies.
Ensure seamless statutory reporting and handling of commercial matters.
Oversee the Group’s treasury operations to ensure sufficient cash flow for smooth business operations.
Maintain oversight of cash flow planning, working capital, and liquidity management.
Advise the Board and executive leadership on strategic financial planning, capital structure, and funding strategies.
Provide financial analysis and modelling to support business plans, investment proposals, and major corporate initiatives.
Secure long-term liquidity through banking facilities, corporate debt, or capital raising activities.
Offer commercial insights and leadership to exceed business performance targets.
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities aligned with the Group’s growth objectives.
Lead all investor relations (IR) initiatives for the Group.
Collaborate with external IR consultants to execute strategies and programmes approved by the Board.
Provide competitive intelligence and market sentiment updates to the executive leadership team.
Monitor stock price movements, analyst coverage, and shareholder engagement.
Ensure the Group’s corporate website and IR materials are current and informative.
Approve requisitions, purchases, claims, and payments in accordance with the Group’s Delegation of Authority (DoA).
Review and sign off all financial statements and reports prior to submission to the Board or regulatory authorities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Professional qualification: ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MICPA, CA or equivalent.
Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior leadership capacity within a PLC or large corporate environment.
