About the role

• This position reports to Site Maintenance Manager based at Pasir Gudang, Johor. As the Certified Electrical Engineer, the incumbent is accountable for a sustainable electrical supply and legal certification of all electrical installations as well as being the site electrical reference

Key responsibilities include

• To maintain and ensure the wellbeing of the entire electrical power supply from substations to main machine panels.

• To maintain building compound around and surrounding electrical installations.

• To assist site maintenance and streams maintenance on power electrical issues.

• To ensure electrical installation compliance to regulations.

• To assume role as Energy Champion to follow energy policy and to execute energy saving projects.

• To drive energy saving task force.

• To liaise with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) on power supply issue.

• To manage energy base load.

• To liaise with contractual electrical inspectors and also external suppliers for repair works and modifications.

• To drive renewable energy initiative in the plant.

• To support stream maintenance in event of major power cut.

• To work with regional energy lead about the company’s energy status.

About you

• Minimum with a Degree in Electrical & Electronics or Diploma with good field experiences.

• Preferably possesses ST certified Electrical Energy Manager, a competent person certification by ST.

• Possesses minimum 22 kV Chargemanship certificate. Added advantage to those with 33 kV Chargemanship which best suit the company requirement.

• Familiar with Malaysia electrical installation regulations.

• Articulate in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
