You will lead strategic planning, manage budgets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance brand performance while delivering insights using data analytics. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Category Manager to lead our Health & Beauty portfolio. This individual will be responsible for end-to-end category ownership, including business planning, brand strategy development, campaign execution, performance tracking, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate possesses strong commercial acumen, marketing expertise, and the ability to deliver business growth in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
Category Leadership
Take full ownership of the Health & Beauty category portfolio and act as the key liaison with the Marketing VP.
Drive category growth through innovative strategies that align with brand positioning and business goals.
Lead annual business planning, including situation assessment, opportunity analysis, strategy formulation, success metrics, and detailed activity calendar.
Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and execute compelling brand and category strategies across ATL, BTL, and digital platforms.
Prepare and manage annual budgets, P&L, and A&P spend with a strong focus on ROI and profitability.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver integrated marketing campaigns and go-to-market plans.
Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and category performance to identify growth opportunities and gaps.
Leverage data analytics (e.g., Nielsen, Retail Audit, Internal Sales Data) to support decision-making and drive strategy.
Lead new product development processes including market research, concept development, packaging design, and launch execution.
Partner with supply chain, production, and sales teams to ensure seamless execution from ideation to shelf.
Performance Monitoring
Track and evaluate brand performance through post-campaign analysis, competitor benchmarking, and brand profitability reviews.
Ensure timely and accurate forecasting, inventory management, and alignment with sales objectives.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Trade Marketing, SCM, Finance, Digital, etc.) to align category strategies and achieve business targets.
Manage agency relationships to ensure impactful advertising campaigns that adhere to brand guidelines and drive consumer engagement.
Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance category performance and operational efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in category management or brand marketing within the FMCG industry, preferably in Health & Beauty.
Proven track record in delivering business growth through strategic planning and execution.
Strong leadership, accountability, and project management capabilities.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights.
