Job summary

Cahya Mata is seeking an experienced Category Management Manager to drive cost optimisation and strengthen procurement performance across the Group through effective category management strategies, market insights and supplier management.

This role analyses market trends, develops category strategies, identifies consolidation opportunities, manages procurement risks and budgets, and collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure effective procurement planning and sustainable category performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in category management or related field; at least 5 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Strong understanding of category management principles, strategies and best practices.
• Proven track record of driving category strategies and achieving business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide market insights and supplier assessments to support category management and decision-making.
• Develop and implement category strategies, plans and tactics aligned with cost optimisation objectives.
• Manage category budgets and procurement strategies, identify consolidation opportunities and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Strategic Business Units and stakeholders to drive strategy implementation and optimise performance.
• Manage procurement risks and monitor performance to address gaps.

This role is responsible for analysing market trends and supplier capabilities, developing and implementing category strategies, identifying consolidation opportunities, managing procurement risks and budgets, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure effective procurement planning and sustainable category performance.

• Provide market insights and supplier assessments to support effective category management and procurement decision-making.
• Develop and implement category strategies, plans and tactics aligned with business requirements and cost optimisation objectives.
• Manage category budgets and procurement strategies, while identifying consolidation opportunities and improving procurement efficiency.
• Collaborate with Strategic Business Units and key stakeholders to drive category strategy implementation and optimise category performance.
• Manage procurement risks, recommend appropriate mitigation controls and monitor category performance to address performance gaps.
• Lead and provide guidance and coaching to category teams, while monitoring market trends and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in category management or related field, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of category management principles, strategies, and best practices.
