Job summary

A leading company in the grocery merchandise sector is seeking a Category Executive cum Buyer to assist in managing category sales and inventory. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail buying, possess negotiation skills, and be computer literate. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply for the Trainee position, with training provided.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as a buyer in retail supermarket or hypermarket preferred.
• Former Buyers or Merchandisers from grocery stores encouraged to apply.

Assist in product selection and category management.

Assist in making purchase decisions based on customer demand and market trends.

Handle and follow up on outlet needs and supplier queries.

Assist in the development of house brand products.

Perform any other job functions as required.

Job Requirements

Minimum SPM/Diploma/Degree in any discipline with 1-3 years of experience as a buyer in retail supermarket or hypermarket is preferred.

Former Buyers or Merchandisers from hypermarkets, supermarkets, mini-markets, or grocery/convenience stores are encouraged to apply.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for the Trainee Category Executive position as training will be provided.
