Job summary

Chian Nyan Trading Sdn Bhd in Kuching is seeking a diligent cashier to handle daily transactions and deliver friendly, professional service at the POS. You will process payments, issue receipts, provide correct change, assist customers with product information, and help maintain a clean, organized checkout area in a fast-paced retail environment.

Experience in cash handling is preferred, with basic computer and POS knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and computer operations.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Honest, responsible, punctual and detail-oriented.
• Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases accurately using the POS system.
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards, e-wallets and other payment methods.
• Issue receipts and provide correct change to customers.

• Check product prices, quantities and promotional discounts before payment.
• Perform daily cash counting and reconciliation.

• Report any payment discrepancies, damaged products or other issues to the supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management.
