Job summary

Chian Nyan Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking a cashier to handle daily POS transactions and provide friendly customer service in Bau, Sarawak. You will receive payments, issue receipts, assist customers, and maintain accurate cash records. You may help with stock checks and store operations as needed.

The role requires honesty, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage.
• Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Honest, responsible and trustworthy.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily cashiering and POS transactions accurately.
• Receive cash, card and e-wallet payments from customers.
• Issue receipts and assist customers with enquiries.
• Maintain accurate cash records and perform daily cash reconciliation.
• Assist with product weighing, pricing and labelling when required.
• Ensure the cashier counter and surrounding area are clean and organised.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist with stock checking and other store operations when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
