The Cash Application Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing and reconciling incoming payments across various Asia Pacific markets and currencies, adhering to all financial regulations and company policies. This position requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Description

1. Payment Processing & Reconciliation

This involves accurately and promptly applying incoming payments to customer accounts. It also includes reconciling bank statements with customer and accounting records to ensure everything aligns, and handling transactions in multiple currencies.

2. Discrepancy Management

This covers investigating and resolving payment issues like unidentified, incorrect, or short payments by working with internal teams. It also includes managing and clearing payment deductions or disputes in collaboration with the credit and sales teams, and processing necessary adjustments, write-offs, or refunds according to company policy.

3. Financial Reporting & Improvement

This point focuses on supporting month-end and year-end closing activities related to cash application to meet deadlines. Additionally, it involves identifying ways to improve the accuracy and efficiency of cash application processes and recommending these improvements to management.





Profile

A successful Cash Application Analyst should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Practical experience in cash application and other accounts receivable processes.
  • Regional exposure is required.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in setting up or any migration projects will be an added advantage.
