Job description

  • Construct, assemble, and install wooden and related structures and furniture, such as cabinets, tables, chairs, wardrobes, doors, and shelving units.
  • Repair damaged or worn furniture and wooden fixtures, ensuring restoration to original or improved condition.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, laminates, and other materials using hand tools and power equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and dimensions.
  • Install hardware and fittings, such as hinges, handles, locks, and drawer slides.
  • Perform finishing work such as sanding, varnishing, painting, or staining surfaces to protect and enhance appearance.
  • Maintain and repair wooden parts of buildings, including walls, partitions, ceilings, and floors.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
  • Estimate material requirements and assist with inventory management for carpentry supplies.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to complete maintenance tasks or renovation projects.
