Job summary

CARiNG Pharmacy is offering a trainee position in our Kuala Lumpur retail team. You will assist customers with product information, help them locate items, and provide guidance on choices. You will also ensure appealing product displays, manage inventory using FEFO/FIFO, handle payments, and support promotions and pricing.

A friendly, service-oriented attitude is essential. This role includes comprehensive training and opportunities for advancement within our health-focused retail network.

Responsibilities

• Customer assistance: help customers with product information and selection.
• Product display and inventory management using FEFO and FIFO.
• Inventory management: receive goods and assist stock control.
• Customer service: respond to inquiries and refer to pharmacy staff when needed.
• Promotions and pricing: update price tags and create appealing displays.
• Payment processing: handle cash and card transactions and balance cash till.

Job description

Duties/Responsibilities (Training Provided)

Customer Assistance: Attend to customers, providing product information, helping them find what they need, and offering advice on product selection.

Product Display: Ensure product visibility and proper display, implementing FEFO and FIFO practices for inventory management.

Inventory Management: Receive incoming goods, store deliveries appropriately, and assist in stock control and management.

Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, referring them to the appropriate pharmacy team member when necessary.

Promotions and Pricing: Attach price tags to products, stay updated on special promotions, and create appealing displays.

Payment Processing: Process cash and card payments accurately and balance the cash register with receipts.

The first CARiNG Outlet opened in Taman Muda, Cheras. At that time, the awareness of community pharmacy services was still low. The founders took these important steps to instill the value of pharmacists in the healthcare profession by:

Providing 12 hours a day, 7 days a week full time pharmacist service.

Providing easily accessible pharmacist counseling service, free blood pressure checks and other health checks at a minimum fee.

Designing the store with a modern, open concept to maximise interaction with customers and merchandise. With this successful concept, CARiNG Pharmacy is growing fast within the Peninsular Malaysia.
