Job summary

CARING Pharmacy in Malaysia is offering a trainee role in retail pharmacy operations. You will assist customers with product information and guidance, maintain product displays, and support inventory control. You will handle payments, and contribute to promotions and pricing while working closely with the pharmacy team.

The program provides training and opportunities for career progression within CARiNG Pharmacy, a major health and beauty retailer established in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and ability to assist customers with products and information.
• Attention to accurate product display and inventory practices (FEFO/FIFO).
• Basic cash handling and payment processing awareness.

Responsibilities

• Attend to customers with product information and guidance on selection.
• Ensure visible product placement and correct inventory practices (FEFO/FIFO).
• Receive and store deliveries; assist in stock control and management.
• Respond to customer inquiries and escalate to pharmacy team as needed.
• Assist with price tagging, promotions, and attractive displays.
• Process cash and card payments and balance cash register.

Job description

Duties/Responsibilities (Training Provided)

Customer Assistance: Attend to customers, providing product information, helping them find what they need, and offering advice on product selection.

Product Display: Ensure product visibility and proper display, implementing FEFO and FIFO practices for inventory management.

Inventory Management: Receive incoming goods, store deliveries appropriately, and assist in stock control and management.

Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, referring them to the appropriate pharmacy team member when necessary.

Promotions and Pricing: Attach price tags to products, stay updated on special promotions, and create appealing displays.

Payment Processing: Process cash and card payments accurately and balance the cash register with receipts.

The first CARiNG Outlet opened in Taman Muda, Cheras. At that time, the awareness of community pharmacy services was still low. The founders took these important steps to instill the value of pharmacists in the healthcare profession by:

Providing 12 hours a day, 7 days a week full time pharmacist service.

Providing easily accessible pharmacist counseling service, free blood pressure checks and other health checks at a minimum fee.

Designing the store with a modern, open concept to maximise interaction with customers and merchandise. With this successful concept, CARiNG Pharmacy is growing fast within the Peninsular Malaysia.
