Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Cargo Sales Agent to join our team in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales of cargo services, maintaining relationships with clients, and contributing to the growth of the company's logistics and freight forwarding business. As a Cargo Sales Agent, you will work closely with both internal teams and external customers to understand their shipping needs and provide customized solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by reaching out to potential clients in various industries that require cargo and logistics solutions.

  2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their shipping requirements, and offering tailored cargo solutions.

  3. Sales Target Achievement: Achieve sales targets and KPIs by developing and implementing strategies for customer acquisition and retention.

  4. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities and stay competitive in the market.

  5. Quotation and Pricing: Prepare and present accurate pricing and quotations to customers, ensuring that the cargo services offered meet their needs while remaining cost-effective.

  6. Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiate terms and close sales contracts with clients, ensuring all contractual agreements are aligned with company policies.

  7. Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of cargo services to clients.

  8. Customer Support: Provide excellent after-sales service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  9. Reporting: Regularly report on sales performance, market insights, and customer feedback to the Vice President of Business Development and The Management team.

  10. Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).

  2. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in cargo sales, freight forwarding, or logistics, preferably within the Malaysia and/or ASEAN market.

  3. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the logistics and cargo industry, including various shipping methods and customs regulations in Malaysia.

  4. Sales Skills: Proven track record in sales with excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  5. Language: Proficiency in Malay and English is required. Additional language skills are a plus.

  6. Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  7. Customer Focus: Strong customer service skills with the ability to anticipate and meet client needs.

  8. Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and proactively identify new opportunities in a competitive environment.

  9. Travel: Willingness to travel within Thailand and ASEAN region to meet clients and attend industry events as needed.
