Job Purpose Summary

The Manager of Capacity Management within Group Technology (GT) of Hong Leong Bank Berhad (HLBB) is responsible for the strategic planning of IT capacity management strategies and overseeing the utilization of IT resources. The role involves developing and implementing technical and operational capacity management procedures to maximize efficiencies and optimize IT capacity, including forecasting future needs to support HLBB's growth.

High Level Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Provide strategic direction in developing and implementing IT capacity management strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor and analyze the utilization of IT resources such as servers, storage, databases, networking, applications, licenses, and other infrastructure components.
• Lead analysis and forecasting of future IT capacity needs based on business plans, growth forecasts, and technological advancements.
• Develop and implement capacity plans to ensure application availability, performance, and scalability.
• Identify potential capacity-related risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure system availability and reliability.
• Enhance capacity management processes and methodologies to improve efficiency and resource optimization.
• Manage capacity-related costs while maintaining high service levels.
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand priorities and align IT resource demands with business goals.

Jobholder Requirements:

Education/Qualification: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields from established tertiary education providers.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of IT capacity planning/management experience, including at least 5 years in supervisory or managerial roles within the Financial Services or Banking industry, with a proven track record in IT capacity management and understanding of infrastructure components and constraints.
