A leading company in automotive electronics is seeking a Calibration Engineer to perform calibration and inspection of measuring instruments. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant scientific field, with experience and preferably metrology certifications. Responsibilities include maintaining records, reporting, and supporting technical development, all crucial for ensuring measurement accuracy. Ideal candidates would be detail-oriented, proactive, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
Calibration Execution: Perform calibration and inspection of various measuring instruments (e.g. pressure gauges, gas detectors, digital multimeters, ultrasonic thickness gauges) based on laboratory standards and client requirements.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain daily temperature and humidity records, equipment operation logs, and issue calibration/test reports and related records.
Equipment Management: Manage and properly use standard instruments; conduct routine maintenance and ensure traceability of measurement standards.
Technical Support: Support the technical department in standard development, scope extension, and CNAS accreditation tasks.
Problem Solving: Resolve on-site metrology issues and provide clients with professional calibration solutions.
Job Requirements:
Education: Minimum Degree in a science or engineering-related field such as Mechanical, Electronics, Physics, or Chemistry (Chemistry preferred).
Experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience; prior experience in calibration or testing is preferred.
Certification: Candidates with relevant metrology certifications (e.g. Certified Metrologist) are preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
Familiar with basic calibration principles, methods, and procedures for commonly used instruments.
Able to operate calibration equipment and relevant software.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
Professional Qualities:
Objective, honest, and with strong professional ethics.
Detail-oriented, accurate, and reliable in calibration work.
Team player with good communication skills for effective collaboration.
Proactive and eager to learn new knowledge and improve calibration capability.
Other Requirements:
Willing to travel or perform on-site calibration at customer locations.
Physically fit to work in a laboratory environment and handle workload demands.
