Job Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of a Diploma in Pastry & Baking, Culinary, Hospitality, Hotel/F&B Management, Food Service, Catering, or related fields with 2-3 years of restaurant management experience. Preferably, candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in these fields.
  • Experience in pastry and bakery operations is preferred.
  • Experience in opening new outlets and brand launching is preferred.
  • Customer and service-oriented.
  • Good human skills and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Well-groomed, pleasant, courteous, and friendly appearance.
  • Strong discipline, planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and monitor progress.
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Responsibility for resources, including time management, physical assets, people, and finances.
  • Ability to foster teamwork and lead by example through effective management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Business acumen to oversee operational costs and budgeting for outlets.
  • Willingness to travel within KL (planned outlet locations) and Petaling Jaya (HQ).

Job Description:

1. Operational

1.1 Customer Focus

  • Ensure outstanding customer service by maintaining speed of service, etiquette, and food quality to exceed customer satisfaction.
  • Greet customers with smiles, suggest and upsell items, and provide complementary closing as per SOP.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints promptly and courteously, ensuring a personalized and professional approach.
  • Analyze customer feedback to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Provide staff training on effectively handling challenging situations such as customer complaints or service disruptions.

1.2 Operations

  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure effective daily café operations.
  • Ensure compliance with SOP and regulatory standards.
  • Organize and supervise daily team briefings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the café.
  • Monitor and minimize wastages, breakages, pilferage, and food quality variance.
  • Ensure timely completion of administrative paperwork and compliance with company regulations.
  • Develop contingency plans to handle emergencies or unexpected events effectively.

2. Management

2.1 Team Management

  • Manage hiring and recruitment, including sourcing, screening, and selecting qualified candidates.
  • Monitor team performance, ensuring adherence to job scope, standards, and SOP.
  • Provide on-the-job training and support to team members.
  • Assist in establishing performance management systems and conducting evaluations.
  • Support comprehensive training programs focusing on customer service and operations.

2.2 Training and Development

  • Mentor and develop leaders and team members.
  • Implement cross-training initiatives to broaden skills.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with the training department for training initiatives.
  • Drive sales targets and analyze sales data for growth opportunities.
  • Foster a sales-centric culture and enhance customer experience.

3. Financial Management

  • Support in achieving profit targets through action plans.
  • Analyze financial data for cost control and revenue growth.
  • Ensure adherence to cost and wastage reduction guidelines.
  • Conduct cost analysis and implement strategies accordingly.
  • Use sales and financial data to forecast future profits.

4. Growth and Brand Development

  • Uphold brand standards for service, food quality, and ambiance.
  • Educate team members on brand values and mission.
  • Maintain the café's physical appearance to match the brand's aesthetic.
  • Support new outlet openings and product launches.
