Job summary

Brick House in Malaysia is seeking a Cafe Service Crew to join our cafe team. You will be responsible for taking orders, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean, organized cafe area to ensure a positive customer experience.

You will greet customers, operate the POS system, handle cash, and assist with opening and closing duties. Prior customer service or food service experience is preferred, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing our point-of-sale system.
• Prepare a variety of food and beverage items, following standardized recipes and quality standards.
• Operate coffee machines, blenders, grills, and other kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, ensuring orders are correct and presented attractively.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the cafe area, including cleaning tables, counters, equipment, and utensils.
• Monitor and restock inventory of food, beverages, and supplies as needed.
• Follow proper food safety procedures to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up and breaking down equipment, cleaning, and restocking.
• Handle customer inquiries, comments, and complaints professionally and promptly, seeking assistance from management when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective operations during busy periods.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards at all times.
