Lattice is seeking a CAD/EDA Engineer experienced in VLSI design & EDA to join our CAD/EDA Engineering group in Penang, Malaysia. Qualified candidates must be hold a BS in EE/ECE/COE, or an MS with 5 to 10 years of industry experience on advanced process technology nodes. This individual will be the key driver to develop and support the custom design methodology & flow.

Accountabilities

  • Hands-on experience with Calibre DRC/LVS/PERC, able to interpret and develop rules, optimize run time and memory usage.
  • Familiarity with Cadence Quantus extraction tool, knowledgeable in transistor/gate level parasitic extraction.
  • Deep understanding of Voltus/Voltus-FI EM/IR flow, including static/dynamic, signal EM/IR power and rail analysis, automation scripting, and report analysis.
  • Ability to analyze tool limitations and develop solutions to enhance project productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop, release, and maintain standard design scripts to automate EDA tools & flows.
  • Coordinate with foundry and EDA vendor support teams to resolve tool and technology file issues.
  • Establish and implement comprehensive design QA procedures and test suites.
  • Document processes and deliver training on methodologies and EDA flows.
  • Stay updated on industry trends by attending conferences and forums.

Requirements:

  • BSEE/CE or MSEE with 5-10 years of industry EDA experience, including custom verification.
  • Knowledge in electrical rule check, physical signoff, extraction, EM/IR analysis.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Unix shell scripting, TCL, Perl, Python, etc.
  • Independent problem-solver with proven ability to collaborate across multiple groups and locations.
