Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to support conceptual analysis and production drawings. You will prepare preliminary sketches, 2D/3D CAD drawings, and complete design documentation for manufacturing projects in a team environment.

Qualifications include a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil, Mechanical, Engineering, or Architecture, 1–3 years of drafting experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD. Fresh graduates with strong CAD skills may be considered.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Drafter or in a similar role (fresh graduates with strong CAD skills may be considered).
• Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and regulations.
• Experience in preparing design documentation, reports, and material lists.
• Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other relevant design tools.

Responsibilities

• Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
• Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
• Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists
• Estimate material and production costs for designs
• Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers
• Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations
• Developing technical reports for engineers
• Prepare and issue engineering drawings for review and approval
• Recommend design adjustments to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements
• Provide technical input and documentation to support project decision-making
