Key Responsibilities
  1. Negotiate pricing and other purchase terms; manage strategic suppliers (> $10M) and suppliers with filed activities.
  2. Quote, procure, expedite, and ensure timely receipt of materials, components, equipment, and services at the lowest cost while maintaining quality and reliability.
  3. Collaborate with engineering and SCM to recommend new suppliers, issue RFQs, analyze proposals, negotiate, and manage purchase orders and vendor contracts.
  4. Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering to maintain inventory levels, resolve material-related issues, and develop procurement process improvements.
  5. Review MRP, execute or cancel planned orders, monitor ECO dispositions, and perform inventory analysis to minimize excess and zero demand inventory.
  6. Read and interpret part specifications and engineering drawings; communicate with engineers and suppliers to support cost reduction efforts.

  • Demonstrates broad conceptual knowledge in own discipline and understands key business drivers.

  • No supervisory responsibilities but provides informal guidance to new team members.

  • Solves straightforward problems using technical experience and judgment; impacts the quality of work within guidelines and policies.

  • Explains complex information clearly in straightforward situations.

The work location will be on the Island.
