Job summary

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Response for Contract manufacturer's materials management across different places in/out of Malaysia
  • Work closely with internal parties to achieve low materials liability and minimize excess/obsolescence.
  • Maintain good communications with Global Commodity Manager (GCM) & Global Supply Manager (GSM) to establish and manages supplier performance and assist in building effective partnership.
  • High awareness on the fluctuation forecast and well control of inventories by push CMs to execute PO rescheduling and cancellation if required to ensure inventory levels are met within goals set.
  • Perform vendor performance appraisal on quarterly basis and continuously monitor CMs’ delivery and quality performance through CMs scorecard key performance measurements.
  • Manage monthly/quarterly PPV / Special charges with CM sites.
  • Quarterly CM inventory physical count
  • CM sites NPI products management
  • Preparations of reports as required by superior for corporate reporting purposes

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • At least 5 years experience in procurement operation with CM/EMS management related experience
  • Strong knowledge about CM management, inventory management, material planning, purchasing, supplier management etc.
  • Better with projects management like VMI, Short LT, Safety stock.
  • Demonstrable experience with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QAD, or similar).

Preferred

  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CIPS, APICS/CSCP) are an advantage.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal in English; Mandarin is a plus) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain principles.
  • Teamwork & Influence skills.
