Job summary

A leading home center retailer in Malaysia seeks a skilled Buyer. The role involves managing product specifications, vendor negotiations, evaluating product performance, and leading promotional strategies. Ideal candidates should possess experience in retail purchasing along with strong negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Buyer required.
• Experience in people management is a plus.
• Fluency in multiple languages preferred.

• Responsible for product specification creation and vendor selection.
• Manage product evaluation, sourcing, and profit margins.
• Conduct sale and promotion event planning.

• Product Specification creation and vendor selection.
• Product evaluation and sourcing
• Responsible for the profit / margin of each product
• Non-move, slow move and discontinue product management
• Product range analysis and review. Continuously identify new products and update the product range
• Work and negotiate with vendor to achieve the target
• Sale and promotion events planning-together with operation and marketing group
• Provide on the Job training and coaching to the new buyer
• People management (if applicable)
• To assist the Company in any other matter, as and when required by the Company
