JOB SUMMARY
The Business Unit Project/Program Manager works independently to lead large-scale projects or programs for a designated client, typically related to quality assurance, systems, manufacturing operations, etc., aiming to achieve customer satisfaction both internally and externally. They utilize extensive knowledge and skills gained through education and experience to manage large or multiple projects with significant scope and impact. The role involves working independently on complex assignments that require originality and ingenuity, with considerable latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions. The manager provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems, with results evaluated at milestones for effectiveness in achieving specified outcomes. Extensive contact with internal and external customers is necessary to obtain, clarify, or provide facts and information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversight of key projects or multiple related projects/programs aligned with the Business Unit’s strategy.
· Manage projects or programs under the direction of the Business Unit.
· Demonstrate knowledge and skills in leading project teams and delivering results within schedule, budget, and resource constraints.
· Manage key customer programs with less P&L responsibility.
· Serve as the primary point of contact and interface for customers.
· Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and exceed expectations.
· Lead and implement specific programs that span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures.
· Manage the development of specific products through various stages of the product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
· Broad manufacturing knowledge (materials, processes, testing, logistics)
· Familiarity with Jabil tools (financial systems, quote processes, etc.)
· Strong ERP skills
· Fundamental understanding of cost accounting principles
· Strong supply chain management skills
· Effective project and program management skills
· Ability to present information clearly and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
· Problem-solving skills: define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Proficiency in operating Windows-based systems and related software.
· Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
· Ability to write simple correspondence, read, and understand visual aids.
· Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.
· Comfort dealing with standardized situations with minimal variables.
· Basic reading, comprehension, and communication skills.
· Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, and interpret graphs.
