Job Summary:

The Senior Business Technology Solution (BA) evaluates and improves General Insurance Core system processes end-to-end. Responsibilities include data analysis, identifying business needs, documentation, and recommending solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. The BA acts as a bridge between stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams to ensure business requirements are effectively translated into technical solutions. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Job Description:
  • Understand, gather, analyze business functional needs, and define (To-Be-Process) mapping against General Insurance (GI) Core system and relevant front-end systems for change requests or enhancements.
  • Collaborate with business process owners for fit-gap analysis to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate design sessions with implementation teams to define solutions.
  • Assess compatibility with existing environments, analyze cost-benefit factors, and work with stakeholders during solutioning to develop business cases.
  • Define functional specifications for end-to-end solution delivery, deployment, system integration, and user acceptance.
  • Play a System Owner role for assigned modules or applications, managing development roadmaps and backlog.
  • Prioritize requirements based on business value and regulatory deadlines.
  • Lead application release planning and set expectations for new functionalities.
  • Consider business and regulatory risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, emerging threats, and technologies.
  • Proactively share risk management best practices and highlight potential concerns.
The Person:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • At least 8 years of experience in the General Insurance industry, preferably as a Business Analyst.
  • Good knowledge of General Insurance systems and operational processes.
  • Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills.
  • People-oriented with leadership, motivation, and coaching abilities.
  • IT Risk and governance management mindset.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written); Mandarin is an advantage.
  • High leadership and communication skills.
  • High integrity, accountability, and teamwork attitude.
  • Proactive in improving processes and adaptable to change.
