A leading education platform in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a data analyst intern responsible for querying and analyzing large datasets. The ideal candidate should have intermediate SQL skills and the ability to interpret data to provide actionable insights. You will gain experience with statistical methods, work independently in a dynamic environment, and have the potential to develop your skills in R or Python. This is a full-time position starting in 2026.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret large datasets (millions to billions of rows).

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Query and analyze large datasets, create or fix data pipelines and dashboards to meet business needs.
• Gain exposure to statistical methods such as A/B testing, penetration, benchmarking, projection, assist in evaluating model performance, and interpret data to provide actionable insights.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing best practices in data management and governance.

About You

The company is looking for:

• 0-2 years of experience in related roles, able to start work full-time in 2026.
• Intermediate level of SQL, with knowledge in data granularity and data principles.
• Ability to interpret large and intricate datasets (millions to billions of rows).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Knowledge in R or Python.
• Experience in the e-commerce industry.
