Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Development Specialist at Gradient Additive, located in Johor Baharu with some work from home flexibility. The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for lead generation, market research, customer service, and utilizing analytical skills to collaborate with businesses and streamline manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching potential clients, attending industry events, and leveraging networks to generate high-quality leads in the manufacturing sector.
Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes in the additive manufacturing industry, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly to foster long-term partnerships.
Collaboration & Process Optimization: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., design, production, and engineering) and external stakeholders to streamline manufacturing processes, tailoring additive manufacturing solutions to meet client specifications.
Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling business proposals, quotes, and pitches to prospective clients, highlighting the value of Gradient Additive’s end-to-end services and advanced technology.
Sales Support: Partner with the sales team to close deals, negotiate contracts, and ensure smooth onboarding of new clients into the production pipeline.
Industry Advocacy: Represent Gradient Additive at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the company’s innovative solutions and establish its reputation as a leader in industrial-grade additive manufacturing.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing, engineering, or technology sectors.
Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3D printing) technologies, materials, and applications is highly desirable but not mandatory—willingness to learn is essential.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment, balancing in-office and remote responsibilities effectively.
Fluency in English and Malay; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin) are a plus to support regional client engagement.
