Are you a media sales professional with proven experience working for a media owner (e.g., publisher, platform, broadcaster)? We're looking for someone who understands how to sell solutions to media agencies—not someone from an agency, but someone who's successfully pitched to agencies.

At KOLs.Asia, a Media Sales Manager is responsible for expanding our client base through influencer marketing solutions. You'll drive lead generation, build relationships with agency networks, and translate client needs into tailored influencer campaigns.

What is a Media Sales Manager?

A Media Sales Manager at KOLs.Asia is a media sales professional who comes from a media owner background, not an agency. This role is for someone who has sold media solutions to agencies—someone who understands how to build and maintain strong relationships within agency networks and drive revenue through strategic influencer marketing offerings.

This person is passionate about the influencer marketing landscape and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They proactively generate leads, attend industry events, and engage agencies with customized influencer marketing proposals that align with their clients’ campaign objectives.

The Primary Responsibilities of Media Sales Manager:

  • Has hands-on experience in media sales—and maintains a strong network of relationships within media agencies.
  • Sells media solutions to agencies, offering influencer marketing strategies aligned with their clients’ objectives.
  • Builds and leverages strong agency networks to generate new business opportunities.
  • Gains a deep understanding of KOLs.Asia’s offerings and broadens the company’s reach by relating our influencer solutions to key client verticals.
  • Attends both in-person and virtual meetings with potential clients, demonstrating a clear understanding of their business challenges and how KOLs.Asia can address them.
  • Represents the company at networking events and industry functions, acting as an ambassador of the brand.
  • Prepares customized campaign proposals—including budget options, influencer strategies, content ideas, and KOL recommendations.
  • Conducts persuasive presentations and demonstrations that convert leads into confirmed projects.
  • Takes detailed project briefs in collaboration with the Strategy & Servicing teams and translates them into actionable plans for the Campaign Management team to execute.
  • Follows up with clients on proposal feedback, campaign approvals, and prepares relevant sales quotations.
  • Owns the client relationship end-to-end—from outreach and lead generation to closing deals and nurturing long-term partnerships.
  • Monitors market trends and client feedback, translating insights into opportunities for innovation and growth.

Interested candidates are required to have a minimum of 3 years client-facing experience, developing digital/social strategies and campaigns in advertising, media, social or digital agencies.

The Ideal Candidate’s Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a business development or sales role within the media industry, with a proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the influencer marketing and/or media industry, including trends, best practices, and key players in the market.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, including understanding their needs and providing creative solutions that meet those needs.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and forecasting revenue, with a data-driven approach to measuring and analyzing sales performance.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including creative, strategy, and account management teams, to develop and execute client solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication or a related field is preferred, but equivalent work experience may be considered.
