A leading logistics company is seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead sales strategies tailored for the Malaysian power market. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in the energy sector to foster relationships with key stakeholders and drive growth opportunities while leading a local sales team.
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the Malaysian market based on in-depth market research and analysis.
Identify and pursue growth opportunities, and provide strategic input on product positioning and service optimization.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including the Energy Commission, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), and the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA).
Lead and manage the local sales team, including recruitment, coaching, performance management, and team development.
Regularly report market insights, progress, and challenges to senior management at the China headquarters to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years in the power, grid, or utility sector, with a proven track record in key account management and sales target achievement. Experience in managing full project cycles from initiation to completion is highly valued.
Strong business communication and negotiation skills.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, be comfortable with frequent travel, and own a personal vehicle.
Deep understanding of the Malaysian power market. Experience working with or within the Energy Commission, TNB, or SEDA is a significant advantage.
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, interpersonal, and client management abilities. Demonstrated competence in market development, high-level negotiations, and customer service excellence.
