Business Development Manager - Factory Automation, Semi Conductor (Contract under Gemini Personnel)
Our client is a Singapore-based software innovation company established since 2010, providing SECS/GEM connectivity solutions and automation solutions for legacy equipment/tools in the Semiconductor and Photovoltaic industries, serving globally both for equipment manufacturers and factory end users.
Responsibilities:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive sales of our cutting-edge factory automation solutions to semiconductor industry factories in Malaysia, with a primary focus on Malaysia and possibly Singapore.
- This role will be instrumental in expanding our market share and establishing our client as the leading provider of automation software within this critical sector.
- You will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to closing deals and building long-term client relationships.
- Identify and qualify potential clients: Research and identify semiconductor factories and equipment makers in Penang and across Malaysia that can benefit from our software automation solutions. Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies.
- Develop and execute sales strategies: Create and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets. This includes market analysis, competitive analysis, and value proposition development.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations: Showcase the capabilities of our software solutions to key decision-makers, highlighting the value proposition and addressing client-specific needs.
- Prepare and deliver proposals and quotations: Develop compelling proposals and quotations that clearly articulate the benefits and ROI of our solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals: Lead contract negotiations and close deals, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the company.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Stay informed about industry trends: Maintain a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, including emerging technologies, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and client onboarding.
- Accurate sales forecasting and reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management, tracking progress against targets and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- You have a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the semiconductor industry or a related technology sector in Malaysia. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong client relationships.
- Strong understanding of factory automation solutions and their applications within manufacturing environments.
- Experience selling software solutions to semiconductor factories.
- Existing network of contacts within the semiconductor industry in Malaysia.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
