About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager, Broking & Corporate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Branch Manager in expanding business profitability efficiently while managing Agency, RHB Group, and Direct business portfolios to maximize productivity. You will work closely with underwriters and various stakeholders to accept new risks, grow market share, and enhance agency force through strategic initiatives and relationship-building.

What you will be doing

  • Support the Branch Manager in formulating and implementing marketing strategies to maximize business potential via the Agency channel

  • Enhance the Agency Recruitment Programme to expand and strengthen the agency force

  • Organise Relationship Enhancement activities to foster strong client and agency partnerships

  • Segment agency portfolios for targeted marketing and development

  • Review and manage the product portfolio to ensure competitiveness and relevance

  • Monitor and enforce adherence to Credit Control policy

  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory guidelines and company policies

  • Collaborate with underwriters on risk acceptance within delegated limits

  • Oversee survey and risk management programs for Banca Retail clients

  • Identify new market opportunities and develop structural marketing strategies for expansion

What we're looking for

  • Relevant professional qualification in insurance and/or a degree in any discipline

  • Proven working experience in the insurance industry

  • Strong analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of the insurance sector

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding profitability and sales targets

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work independently and deliver against assigned KPIs
