Position Title: Business Development Manager
Our client is a key subsidiary of a Singapore-listed company, specializing in the manufacturing and assembly of precision plastic parts and components. They are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to manage existing client relationships and drive new business opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Market the Company's capabilities and services to new and potential customers and work towards meeting the annual sales budget and the sales target as set by the Company;
- Identify new customers and markets with the business development team;
- Arrange for meetings with prospective customers and follow up;
- Further to the above, to participate in early involvement and technical meetings with new customers and internal departments;
- Ensure smooth handover to sales order management when business deal is awarded;
- Prepare and submit quotation inquiries to new customers;
- Negotiate pricing, contract proposal and service agreement;
- Manage program costing, pricing strategy and structure, resource planning and allocation;
- Support overseas business development where necessary;
- Create and lead activities to support sales efforts, including promotional materials, brochures, printouts, newsletters, web presences, electronic advertisement, social media and other sales campaigns to market corporate services; and
- Carry out any other duties as the COO or such other designated officer deems fit from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5–8 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management, preferably in the plastic injection moulding or precision manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to engage in early technical discussions with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Skilled in preparing and negotiating quotations, pricing strategies, and service agreements.
- Experience in managing program costing, pricing structures, and resource planning.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with both clients and internal teams.
- Well versed in English and Malay.
