Position: Manager - Business Development

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Manager of Business Development will be responsible for driving sustainable financial growth by increasing sales and fostering strong client relationships for the company. This role involves identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships, exploring new business opportunities across a diverse portfolio of services, and formulating effective business strategies to achieve revenue and gross profit objectives. Additionally, the incumbent will work on innovative solutions to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders and prospective clients to identify partnership opportunities and drive business expansion.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct in-depth industry research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, potential threats, and untapped opportunities, particularly in the insurance and financial services sectors, to develop targeted sales strategies.
  • New Business Acquisition: Lead the identification, pursuit, and acquisition of new business opportunities, including managing request for proposal (RFP) responses, developing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
  • Solution Consultation: Work closely with internal technical teams to design customized solutions that meet specific client needs, particularly in the insurance and financial sectors. Review and prepare sales contracts to ensure compliance with legal and corporate guidelines.
  • Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities, leveraging CRM tools to track progress and optimize results.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Engage in collaborative business meetings to update stakeholders and work closely with technical and sales teams to ensure cohesive and value-driven client engagement.
  • Performance Monitoring: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of business development initiatives and monitor progress toward revenue targets.
  • Client Relationship Management (Existing Clients): Regularly engage with existing clients to understand their evolving needs and business objectives. Ensure high levels of satisfaction by promptly addressing concerns and providing tailored solutions.
  • Revenue Growth Strategies: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services to existing clients. Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative offerings that add value and align with client needs.
  • Client Retention Initiatives: Implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty. Regularly assess client accounts to identify risks or areas for improvement, taking proactive measures to strengthen retention and minimize churn.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in relevant sales or business development roles, with a proven track record in B2B (Business-to-Business) or B2G (Business-to-Government) sales. Established connections within the relevant sector are highly advantageous.
  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field is often preferred.

  • Networking: Aptitude for building and maintaining professional relationships to drive business growth.
