A leading company in the gas production sector is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to drive sales and foster customer relationships across Johor and nearby regions. This role involves executing effective sales strategies, engaging with clients, and continuously enhancing product offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in sales, technical knowledge of gases, and excellent communication skills. The company offers a competitive salary, commission, and benefits.
Develop and implement sales strategies adapted to market conditions to grow revenue across all gas product lines, including industrial gases, specialty gases, calibration gases, and related services.
Expand business with existing customers by introducing new products and value-added services, leveraging on established relationships.
Identify potential customers across key industries (oil & gas, electronics, manufacturing, etc.), research their processes and application needs, and align company offerings accordingly.
Acquire in-depth knowledge of company products, their value propositions, applications, and relevant regulatory requirements. Stay current with industry trends and market developments.
Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer expectations and business objectives.
Prepare tailored business proposals and lead negotiations with key decision-makers to secure new business opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with various customer stakeholders — from technical users to senior decision-makers.
Monitor and analyze competitors' activities and strategies, including market positioning, pricing, and product offerings.
Ensure full compliance with local, state, and national safety and regulatory requirements related to gas handling and sales.
Support coordination of product or process changes and facilitate new product introductions to ensure smooth implementation.
Take a lead role in managing all sales-related activities across Johor, Singapore, and nearby regions, including client visits, follow-ups, project discussions, and account management.

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of sales experience in oil & gas, industrial, welding, or electronics-related sectors.
Proven ability to execute sales plans, self-driven, and strong in collaboration and customer engagement.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strong technical understanding of industrial and specialty gases, including their classifications, properties, and equipment applications.
Degree or relevant certification in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience with gas systems or equipment used in wafer fabs or electronics manufacturing is an added advantage.
Strong analytical and financial evaluation skills.
Fluent in both spoken and written English.
Willingness to travel and possess a valid driving license.
