Job Description

As a Business Development Associate in the Monee / ShopeePay team, you will be responsible for expanding partnerships, acquiring new merchants, and driving the adoption of ShopeePay and other fintech solutions. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to develop growth strategies and optimize business opportunities in the digital payments and financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and onboard new merchants and business partners to expand ShopeePay’s acceptance network.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing merchants to ensure continued engagement and collaboration.
  • Work with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Operations) to design and implement merchant-focused campaigns and promotions.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and consumer behavior to identify new business opportunities.
  • Support contract negotiations, deal structuring, and agreement finalization with partners.
  • Assist in planning and executing go-to-market strategies for new fintech products and services.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and generate reports to measure business impact and effectiveness.
  • Provide feedback to product and operations teams to enhance ShopeePay’s offerings based on merchant and user needs.
  • Stay updated on digital payment trends, fintech regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field, with availability to start work full-time in 2025.
  • 0-2 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or fintech (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret business data and market trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data reporting tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Passion for fintech, digital payments, and e-commerce.
  • Experience in sales, merchant acquisition, or account management is a plus.
