We are seeking a Business Development Executive to execute sales growth plans and activities within the General Trade category, aiming for long-term, sustainable, and profitable growth for retailers.

A day in the life of a Business Development Executive

  • Manage throughput sales and brand performance for your assigned customer portfolio within Nestlé Brands.
  • Oversee trade spend, ensuring compliance with budgets allocated by the Business Development Manager (BDM) by category and channel group.
  • Ensure product distribution and merchandising standards are met according to guidelines:
    • Adhere to channel must-have-list.
    • Implement KMA and promotional activities timely.
    • Follow channel planogram and merchandising standards.
    • Maximize POS material usage and replace outdated materials.
    • Monitor compliance with long-term space buy policies as per channel and brand guidelines.
  • Build strong customer relationships:
    • Advise retailers, understand their needs, and foster customer intimacy.
    • Negotiate and promote Retailer Incentive Programs.
    • Conduct quarterly business reviews with top 10 customers.
    • Provide product training regularly to retailers and staff.
  • Ensure territory coverage:
    • Achieve 100% coverage and call frequency as defined by the BDM.
    • Maintain customer database.
    • Practice market hygiene, including FEFO to ensure fresh and clean products in outlets.

What will make you successful

  • Education: University diploma/degree or equivalent; SPM qualification with 5 years of sales experience.
  • 3-5 years in marketing or sales, with a proven track record of achieving KPIs.
  • Experience in customer management is an advantage.
  • Understanding of all sales functions (CCSD, Customer, Field).
  • Experience managing a field sales team.
  • Stakeholder management skills, solution-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven.
