Job summary

A leading building materials company is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Malaysia and Singapore markets. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in business development or sales, a Bachelor's degree, and excellent negotiation and communication skills. This role involves travel within Southeast Asia and a strong network in the construction industry.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Identify and establish relationships with key clients, developers, contractors, etc.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor landscape, and pricing strategies.
  • Generate sales leads to achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to implement promotional campaigns and brand positioning.
  • Provide technical consultation and product recommendations to potential clients.
  • Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and new business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
  • Strong network and experience working with developers, architects, contractors, and distributors.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Familiarity with windows and doors, façade solutions, or similar products is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia, Singapore, and South-East Asia.
  • Ability to speak Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin speaking clients.
