A leading building materials company is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Malaysia and Singapore markets. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in business development or sales, a Bachelor's degree, and excellent negotiation and communication skills. This role involves travel within Southeast Asia and a strong network in the construction industry.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management.
- Experience in the building materials or construction industry is preferred.
- Willingness to travel within Malaysia, Singapore, and South-East Asia.

- Develop and execute strategic business growth plans for the Malaysia and Singapore markets.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic business growth plan for the Malaysia and Singapore markets.
- Identify and establish relationships with key clients, developers, contractors, etc.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor landscape, and pricing strategies.
- Generate sales leads to achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the sales team to implement promotional campaigns and brand positioning.
- Provide technical consultation and product recommendations to potential clients.
- Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and new business opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or key account management, preferably in the building materials or construction industry.
- Strong network and experience working with developers, architects, contractors, and distributors.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Familiarity with windows and doors, façade solutions, or similar products is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel within Malaysia, Singapore, and South-East Asia.
- Ability to speak Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin speaking clients.
