We are partnering with The Solar House Sdn. Bhd. (TSH), a Malaysian company specializing in providing comprehensive solar photovoltaic (PV) services, including consultancy, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV systems.

The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the solar energy sector. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, and client relationship management to drive business growth. Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client needs and align with the company’s objectives. To expand the company’s market presence by securing new clients, fostering relationships with existing clients, and contributing to the company’s growth through strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion:Identify and explore new market opportunities within the solar energy industry.
  • Client Acquisition:Develop strategies to acquire new clients and expand the company’s customer base.
  • Strategic Partnerships:Forge and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Brand Positioning:Enhance the company’s brand presence through networking, events, and industry engagements.
  • Sales Strategy:Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets.
  • Proposal Development:Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and presentations to potential clients.
  • Negotiation:Lead negotiations to close deals and secure contracts.
  • Project Coordination:Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless project execution post-sale.
  • Team Collaboration:Work closely with sales, technical, and project teams to align business development efforts.
  • Mentorship:Provide guidance to junior team members and support their professional growth.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:Lead initiatives that require coordination across various departments.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Renewable Energy or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related discipline is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in Sales or Business Development are an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the renewable energy or construction industry.
  • Experience in the solar energy sector with a proven track record of successful business development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, preparing proposals, and managing client relationships.
  • Experience working with solar energy solutions, understanding of industry regulations, and familiar with project management processes.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand market trends, customer needs and competitive landscape.
  • Expertise in consultative selling and solution-based sales approaches.
  • Knowledge of contract terms, negotiation tactics and closing strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs.
