Overview

Identify and develop new business opportunities in the automotive, electronics, and manufacturing sectors. Build and maintain relationships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and global partners. Support the preparation of commercial proposals, quotations, and relevant project bidding documentation. Collaborate with technical, QA, engineering, and project teams to deliver client-specific solutions. Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to support strategic planning. Attend site visits, customer meetings, and industry events for business engagement. Manage sales pipeline and provide regular performance reports to management. Support vendor/customer qualification processes, audits, and compliance with IATF 16949 and other relevant standards.

Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical), or related field.
  • 2–4 years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in electronics manufacturing or automotive-related industries.
  • Experience working in IATF 16949-certified companies or with automotive OEMs/Tier 1 customers is an added advantage.
  • Strong commercial acumen with technical understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components.
  • Able to travel frequently for meetings, visits, and events (possesses own transport and valid driving license).
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage for liaising with China-based clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Prior experience working with China-based counterparts, JVs, or sourcing agents is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.
  • Good understanding of automotive industry requirements (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and supplier quality systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, engineering drawings, and quality reports.
  • Knowledge in project bidding, RFP/RFQ processes, and vendor onboarding.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); CRM or ERP system knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking, independent, and team-oriented.
