A leading engineering consultancy in Malaysia is seeking a Business Development Executive to enhance client relationships and support project opportunities. The role involves preparing proposals, managing tenders, and coordinating with teams to align services with client needs. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science and 2-4 years of relevant experience in business development, preferably within the renewable energy sector.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-4 years in business development, sales & tender.
  • Experience in the solar or renewable energy sector is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of engineering concepts, particularly in energy systems, electrical systems, or renewable energy.

Job description

Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government bodies, and industry partners. Act as the main contact person for clients—understand their needs and offer suitable engineering solutions. Attend meetings, presentations, and discussions to support project and contract opportunities.

Proposal & Tender Management
Prepare technical and commercial proposals with support from the engineering team. Handle the tender process to ensure timely and complete submissions. Negotiate contracts and terms to benefit the company.

Team Coordination & Support
Work closely with internal teams to turn client needs into clear project plans. Share client feedback and market insights with the technical team to improve services. Ensure smooth coordination between business development, engineering, and project teams.

Industry Networking & Branding
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums. Help build the company’s image as a trusted engineering consultancy in Malaysia. Keep up with industry trends, government policies, and new technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent.

Experience in the solar or renewable energy sector is an added advantage.

Minimum 2-4 years in business development, sales & tender.

Strong understanding of engineering concepts, particularly in energy systems, electrical systems, or renewable energy.
