A leading company in the hospitality industry is seeking a Business Development Executive to expand its market presence in Kota Kinabalu. This role involves managing relationships with travel agents and corporate clients, engaging with stakeholders, and executing sales initiatives. Salary Range: RM 3,000.00 – RM 3,500.00

Job Summary:
The Business Development Executive is responsible for expanding the company’s market presence by developing and managing relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, and government agencies. This role also involves active engagement with hotel/property stakeholders and supporting the execution of sales-related initiatives, including marketing visits and promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities: -
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, cold-calling activities, partnerships with travel agents, corporate clients, government organizations
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients & partners
Prepare and deliver tailored sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate closely with hotel and property stakeholders to align sales strategies with operational capabilities and service standards.
Act as a liaison between the company and hotel partners to facilitate smooth communication, cooperation, and issue resolution.
Coordinate joint promotions and packages that enhance the value proposition for both the company and property partners.
Regularly engage with property teams to understand operational capabilities, service limitations, and customer feedback, translating insights into actionable sales strategies.
Represent the company’s interests professionally in all interactions, maintaining a focus on relationship-building, collaboration, and shared success.
Sales Support & Field Activities
Assist in planning and executing sales campaigns, marketing visits, and promotional events aimed at increasing brand visibility and sales performance.
Assist in organizing and executing sales campaigns, roadshows, product launches, and promotional events to generate leads and drive engagement.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate leads and build brand recognition.
Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure the availability of up-to-date promotional materials, brochures, and sales kits for client meetings and field activities.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and areas for improvement.
Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and deal progress using internal tracking tools and pipeline.
Provide regular reports and updates to management on business development performance, client feedback, and market insights.
Compile market intelligence, client feedback, and competitor analysis from field activities and present actionable insights to management for strategy refinement.
· Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, presentations, contracts, and follow-up documentation to ensure smooth and timely client engagement.
· Coordinate with internal departments—such as operations, marketing, and finance—to support seamless execution of client requests, promotional campaigns, and invoicing processes.
Work with the marketing and operations teams to ensure that promotional materials and offers are aligned with customer needs and expectations
Continuously review and improve reporting and administrative procedures to enhance efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
Ad-Hoc tasks as required by Superior
Requirements:
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a sales or business development role, ideally within the new business acquisition sector
Demonstrated ability to identify, qualify, and converting leads into long-term clients
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and negotiate confidently
Excellent presentation and pitching skills to convey the value proposition of our products and services
Proficiency in using sales-related tools to manage the sales pipeline
Highly driven, self-motivated, and goal-focused, with consistent success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
Willingness to travel to various properties as required.
