Job description

About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Business Development Executive to drive new client acquisition and revenue growth within the Digital & AI Services sector in Malaysia. Based in Cyberjaya, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and contributing directly to sales closures, while also supporting sales operations, strategic proposal development and sales enablement activities. This role is ideal for an ambitious professional with a proven track record in Digital & AI services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities within the Digital & AI Services sector across targeted industries.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential clients and emerging trends in the Malaysia region, particularly those leveraging Digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Lead initial outreach to potential clients, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking.
  • Schedule and conduct introductory meetings and presentations to understand client needs and position our Digital & AI service offerings.
  • Actively manage and maintain the sales pipeline within the CRM system, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Drive negotiations and support the sales cycle through to deal closure, ensuring a seamless handover to delivery teams.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and leads to move opportunities forward.
  • Support account planning activities, pipeline forecasting and preparation of internal sales reports.

2. Proposal, Sales Enablement & Collateral Development

  • Assist in creating, customizing, and refining compelling proposals, presentations, and other sales collateral for Digital & AI services.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and global teams to gather information on organizational offerings and maintain a repository of key sales enablement materials.
  • Support the response to open tenders, ensuring timely submission and subsequent follow-up.
  • Contribute to maintaining sales playbooks, case studies and reusable assets to improve process efficiency.

3. Sales Operations Support

· Support with coordinate with finance, legal and delivery teams on contracts, compliance documentations and internal approvals.

· Assist in updating and maintaining CRM data quality, dashboard and sales performance metrics.

4. Events, Seminars & Networking

  • Actively participate in relevant industry seminars, workshops, conferences, and networking functions to identify new leads and build market presence.
  • Assist in the coordination and logistics of sales events, conferences, and webinars.
  • Represent the company professionally to establish long-term relationships that can lead to strategic partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven working experience in a Business Development, Sales or Sales Operations / Sales Support role within the Digital & AI Services industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Digital & AI services landscape, including key trends and solutions.
  • Analytical mindset with interest in learning sales performance tracking and operational best practices.
  • Proficiency in English, Malay, and Mandarin/Cantonese is highly preferred for engaging with diverse regional clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., MSD etc) is essential.
  • Open to frequent business travel across Malaysia.
