Job Title: Business Development Executive

Reporting Line: Commercial Manager

Location: Kemaman

Position Grade:E

Job Specification:

The objective of this role is the development of revenue opportunities to meet sales targets for the territory of Kemaman and/or Tok Bali. The customer portfolio can be changed or expanded depending on market dynamics. In addition, the Business Development Executive is responsible for margin delivery and developing sales plans for product mix and pricing to meet margin targets.

The Business Development Executive will assist the Commercial Manager in developing sales initiatives, activity plans, and key account development plans and forecasts, to meet sales targets.

Principal Accountabilities:

Commercial

- Prepare and deliver yearly sales plan, monthly forecasts and budget.

- Responsible for the sales and margin for the assigned portfolio.

- Develop strategies to win new business or penetrate market/customers.

- Research market and provide sales forecast using sales pipeline data to grow portfolio.

- Evaluate the opportunities and risks of each opportunity and make recommendations.

- Prepare and present to customers product and other service offerings.

- Prepare high quality quotation and tender documents to meet customer requirements.

- Assist on customer outstanding debt collection.

Sales, Marketing and Commercial relation

- Focal point for customers within assigned portfolio.

- Enter, track and follow-up on all leads and opportunities using CRM, record and analyse win/ loss data and make recommendations.

- Establish and maintain good relations with all major customers and potential customers and achieve positive Net Promoter Score (NPS) from customers.

- Cold calling and follow up on contacts to develop new customers.

- Prepare customer proposals/tenders and quotations and ensured that all quotations are reviewed and approved by appropriate authority level.

- Provide analysis of portfolio on a periodical basis, including competitor analysis.

Administration

- Participate and provide weekly sales forecast and updates.

- Coordinate customer demands with yard operations and delivery prioritization.

- Other ad-hoc requests, market research, sales reports and meetings/ conferences as and when required by management.

- Working as a team.

- Traveling as and when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Education & Formal Training

- Business degree preferred

Industry / Transferable Experience & Technical Skills

- Logistics/Finance diploma preferred.

- Relevant marketing, business or communication qualifications essential.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.

- CRM Experience.

- Project Management Experience.

- Strong Administrative and Organisational Skills.

- High Level of Oral and Written communication skills.

- A capacity to confidently facilitate meetings and deliver presentations.
