As we continue to grow and expand our capabilities, we are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Engineer to join our team. This role bridges engineering expertise with commercial strategy, making it ideal for individuals passionate about both technical problem-solving and client engagement.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the company’s growth by managing quotations, supporting technical estimations, and maintaining strong customer relationships. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, purchasing, and sales to deliver value-added solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end RFQ process by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and analyzing technical specifications to deliver accurate cost estimates and feasibility reports.
Develop and maintain long-term client relationships, pursue new business opportunities, support pricing strategy, and ensure customer satisfaction through comprehensive pre- and post-sales support.
Internal Collaboration & Process Improvement:
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to assess part manufacturability, support technical decision-making, and drive continuous improvement in quoting and internal processes.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or equivalent preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in reading technical drawings and understanding manufacturing processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written English/Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is a valued addition.
Excellent in Microsoft Excel with data analytical skills or dashboarding is a plus. Ideally experienced in the use of spreadsheets, estimating pricing models, and cost management tools.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven with a positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively.
At least 1 year of working experience in a similar role is preferred, though fresh graduates with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
